holiday gift guide for teens and young adults

2021 Holiday Gift Guide For Teens and Young Adults

November 13, 2021 · In: Gift Guides

Here are twelve holiday gift ideas other than cash for your favorite teens, tweens, college students, and young adults. I asked my own teenager for advice and suggestions for this guide, so it’s been approved by the cool kids.

gifts for teens and young adults

1. Nintendo Switch $389 The Nintendo Switch is a cool gaming console because it works as both a TV and a handheld device. My son got one one last year and he can play it during long car rides as well as a four-person Mario Kart tournament on our living room TV.

2. Apple AirPods Pro $199 If your teen has an iPhone, AirPods are a perfect gift. They’re Apple’s wireless earbuds and even have a built in microphone so they can talk on the phone hands-free.

3. Hydro Flask $49 I’ve been told that all teenage girls either own a Hydro Flask or want to own a Hydro Flask. I asked what the difference between it and any other water bottle was, and I was instructed that it’s just the status of having the Hydro Flask brand. No more questions.

4. Glossier Boy Brow $16 Gone are the days of skinny manicured eyebrows. The new trend is bigger, fuller brows, and this Glossier Boy Brow defines eyebrows in a clean and modern way. I own this myself and I can vouch that it really is amazing.

5. Rocketbook Fusion Reusable Notebook $37 I saw this on Shark Tank a couple of years ago and thought it was the coolest thing. You can write in the notebook, pop it in the microwave, then when you take it out, it’s magically blank again! Perfect for a college student who takes a lot of notes.

6. Ring Light $63 Have a teen who loves making TikTok videos? A ring light gives them professional level lighting while keeping their phone on a sturdy tripod during the filming process. This ring light even has multiple color modes to warm or cool the tones of the lightbulbs in the room.

7. Vinsetto Gaming Chair $269 Have a teen who is into gaming? Time to swap that beanbag chair for something legit. This Vinsetto Gaming Chair comes in either white or black, and will make your kid feel like a pro gamer.

8. Nike Air Force 1 Sneakers $90+ Air Force Ones are a classic silhouette that will never go out of style. The same shoe that was trendy when you were a kid is still going strong now, and anyone who’s someone is rocking them in the hallways.

9. Fujifilm Instax Mini Camera $87 The Instax Mini Camera is like a Polaroid camera in the sense that it spits out a photo almost instantly, but the quality is way better than that old 70’s camera you were carrying around back in the day. It even has a tiny mirror on the front that’s perfect for framing out selfies.

10. LED Strip Lights $17 Kids are going wild over these strip lights. They change colors, patterns, and speeds, and can light up their entire bedrooms with one push of a button. I added these to my son’s room this summer and they’re super easy to install.

11. Anycubic Mega-S 3D Printer $249 Does your teen need a new hobby that doesn’t include a tv screen and a controller? This 3D Printer will turn them into creative artists in just one weekend. This model is beginner friendly and has a pretty easy learning curve. It’s a great entry-level 3D Printer that still produces good results.

12. Cooluli Mini Fridge $149 My husband and son both agreed that any kid with a mini fridge in their room is living their best life. And any parent who buys their kid a mini fridge is the coolest parent ever. Funny story, I asked for one to be in my own room as a teen to hide a personal stash of milk because my brother always drank it all. I was denied. Haha!

All you need is ten minutes. Don’t organize, don’t clean, don’t rearrange. Just take out the things you no longer want or need, along with anything that shouldn’t be there.
You’ll be shocked at how much stuff you pull out in ten minutes. 🤯

I use coils from used-up notebooks to organize my interchangeable covers by season, category, and size, and I even have a whole coil just for Star Wars covers. 😁
