Here are the top home organization blog posts from 2021, along with the most popular social media tips and videos from Lela Burris and the Organized-ish Team.
With Organized-ish being primarily a blog about organizing, there were a LOT of home and life organization posts this year. This category took the longest to sift through, but we managed to round up the very best organizing tips, advice, and projects from the year. Here are 2021’s Organized-ish VIPs. (Very Important Posts!)

1. Organizing A Home Gym
This post went viral almost instantly, and was shared on Pinterest over 173 THOUSAND times. It go so much attention that Better Homes And Gardens featured my gym on their website. I think what made it so popular was a combination of my budget-friendly gym organization hacks and the unexpected pink walls.

2. My Signature 5 Minute Decluttering Method
Every organizer has their own signature method, and mine is the 5 Minute Decluttering Method. I’m all about making things easy, manageable, and attainable for a busy family, and I think that’s why this method took the internet by storm. I did over 13 interviews with media outlets about this practice, and since then, women all over the world are finally getting Organized-ish after their previous attempts failed.

3. Organizing The Top Of A Garage Stairway Entry
So many people have a garage below their house and use the stairs as their main entry into the home, but the amount of storage solutions for this small, awkward space are lacking. When I shared how I organized the top of my garage stairs, my inbox blew up. It may not be the prettiest entryway ever, but it’s by far the most functional.

4. Organizing Under The Kitchen Sink
This was the first organizing project I did with the new Cricut Maker 3, and it became one of my most popular social media photos and videos almost immediately. There was a fine line split between those who loved it and those who thought the labels were ridiculous. But love them or hate them, the fellas in my house can now find things under the sink, so I call it a huge win!

5. The Do’s And Don’s Of Setting Up A Craft Room
I became known as THE expert of craft room organization in 2021, and this post was the beginning of the snowball effect. I had so much demand for craft room organization tips and advice that I launched a full e-course sharing everything I know. Over the last year, I’ve changed up my craft room quite a bit, but one thing remains the same…I can organize the heck out of some markers and ribbons.

Most Popular Videos: Closet Organization
Closet organization videos dominated the 2021 top list on both my Instagram and TikTok with over 3 million views on just this topic. From my long dress hanging hack to this pants hanging trick, it was clear that closet organization is on everyone’s mind. Of the top nine Instagram Reels and TikTok videos, 7 were related to closet storage. You can expect lots more next year!
