Here’s your exclusive behind-the-scenes look at my trip to HART headquarters and how we built forty beds for local children with Sleep In Heavenly Peace in just one day. Plus, your first look at the new HART home and lifestyle products hitting Walmart soon! Written in partnership with HART Tools.
Last week, my husband and I hit the road for a very special collaboration project unlike anything we’ve ever done before. HART Tools partnered with an organization called Sleep In Heavenly Peace with a commitment to build forty beds for local children who are sleeping on pallets on the floor. It’s estimated that 1.5 to 2 million children in the United States have no bed to sleep in, which is incredibly heartbreaking. So when my friends at HART asked if I would be willing to come help build beds with them, I couldn’t get there fast enough.

Building Beds With Sleep In Heavenly Peace
Let me tell you, nothing gives you the warm fuzzies like walking into the build space and seeing a huge sea of HART employees, bloggers, social media influencers, media personalities, and even Walmart’s marketing team geared up and ready to make that goal of forty beds become a reality. This space was packed, and everything had been perfectly organized for fast and efficient building.

There were stations for sanding the lumber, drilling holes, assembling the bed parts, staining the wood, and applying the signature Sleep In Heavenly Peace logo.

We were a well-oiled machine, and everyone had their own jobs to do. Nigel and I were on the sanding team, and we sanded so long, our hands were still vibrating well after we left.

Once all the prep work was complete for the beds, they got packed up and were ready to be distributed to local families in need. The beds are fully assembled in-home and quality-checked for stability by the SHP team.

And the best part is families don’t have to pay a thing. Walmart even donated new mattresses and bedding to go with the beds, so kids can be off the floor and in a real bed immediately.

One of the perks of being on the sanding team was getting to try out the new sanding tools from HART. I fell in love with the detail sander and immediately ordered one when I got home. The pointed front allows me to get into crevices and straight edges, which is a major upgrade from a random orbital sander.

New HART Tools Releases Fall 2022
I also got a first look at all 160 new tools, organizers, home cleaning, and lifestyle products. They’ll be releasing this month for HART Tools, available exclusively at Walmart.

You know I love my HART stick vacuum, but the newest model blows it out of the water. It’s got the standard brush roller, but it also has a second roller that’s the softest microfiber ever. It’s perfect for tile floors and cleaning up cat litter without it flinging out of the back. #catmomproblems

And this power cutter is getting a permanent home in my craft room. It cut through thick leather like it was a soft slice of butter. I’ll be using this for all my holiday wrapping, crafting, and maybe just cutting random junk mail because it’s so stinkin’ fun to use.
