Here’s how I saved hours online to get everything I needed for my kitchen remodel by utilizing Havenly’s shopping services.
The demo and repairs have begun in our kitchen Phase 2 remodel, so while the contractors are doing their thing, I’ve been finalizing my plans for the decor, organization, and furnishings. While I love to browse online for everything from silverware to floating shelves, it can take a lot of time tracking down all the things I need. Not to mention all the time and energy that’s involved in going through the checkout process on all these different websites.
In an effort to save myself some much-needed time in my busy schedule, I decided to test out the Havenly shopping services. I have used Havenly multiple times in the past for design plans, but I’ve never used the shopping services for a project I didn’t get a plan for. While I was scrolling on the app, I realized you can shop through Havenly anytime, not just during a design project. I ended up buying everything for my kitchen through the Havenly app, and here’s my honest thoughts on whether it was worth it or not.

What I Bought For My Kitchen Remodel Through Havenly’s Shopping Service
I bought a variety of items from decor and furniture to necessities, and they came from a few different retailers. Here’s a quick breakdown so you can get a feel for the range of what I chose.
- Kitchen Island from Birch Lane
- 2 Floating Shelves from Rejuvination
- Backsplash Tile (ivory) from Perigold
- Utensil Set from Crate and Barrel
- Art Frame from Crate and Barrel
- Microwave from Williams Sonoma
- Various kitchen towels from Wayfair
- Various decor items from Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma
- Various drawer organizers from Wayfair and Crate and Barrel
As you can see, I got products from seven different retailers. But the cool part is I didn’t have to go to seven different websites and go through seven different checkouts. I found all the products on the Havenly app and did one seamless checkout. The Havenly team then placed all the individual orders for me.
Is Product Pricing The Same As Retailers On The Havenly App?
Yes, the product price on the Havenly app is the same as it is on the retailer’s website. Havenly applies any price reductions from the retailer to their app’s shopping page as well. For example, the island I ordered from Birch Lane was marked down on their website, and the price on Havenly’s shopping page reflected that same discount.
I do recommend checking the retailer’s website first to verify pricing. If Havenly missed a discounted price, you can send it in for a price match during checkout and they will honor it. Also during checkout, you can apply store coupon codes and discounts. When I made my order, I had a code for Crate and Barrel and another for Wayfair. I put both of those in the boxes and they were instantly applied.
Pros Of Shopping Through Havenly For Home Decor
Overall, this was a really positive shopping experience for me. I was able to get products from a bunch of different retailers without having to take time to order from all the different sites. It was one fast and easy checkout and I saved a lot of time.
I was also able to price-compare items right inside the shopping section of the Havenly app. When I was looking for an island for the kitchen, I searched “kitchen island” and filtered down to the specs I needed. I was shown islands from a lot of different retailers, and some of them offered the exact same product at different prices. The one I bought from Birch Lane was also available on Wayfair, but it was on sale at Birch Lane.

Cons Of Shopping Through Havenly For Home Decor
One thing I didn’t love was the lack of intuitive searching. The search function of the Havenly shopping section of the app wasn’t as “smart” as I expected it to be. When I searched “kitchen towel” I ended up with a list of mostly rugs. And when I searched for kitchen islands, I got a lot of sinks, light fixtures, and even a mixer. They still have a ways to go on their product categorization, but it won’t deter me from using the app for shopping again.
Another con for shopping through Havenly is that there isn’t a link to the product’s original listing on the retailer’s site. The measurements and color specs weren’t listed for the island I wanted, so I had to go to Birch Lane’s website and search for the island’s original listing. I’m also a big review-reader, so I had to seek out each retailer’s original listing to read reviews for pricier pieces. I hope Havenly adds a link to the retailer listing soon, specifically for these two reasons.
Is It Worth It To Shop For A Room Remodel Through Havenly?
Let’s break this down into two parts. First, if you have a design plan created by Havenly, then absolutely yes, it’s 1000% worth it to order through the Havenly shopping services. There’s no searching involved and your designer basically creates the cart for you. You just verify the things you want and click checkout.
If you’re doing a project on your own and didn’t get a design plan for it like I did for my kitchen, I honestly still think the Havenly shopping services were worth it. It really did save me a lot of time because I didn’t have to seek out all these products and scroll through tons of Google Shopping pages to find something I liked, then do separate checkouts for each retailer.

Need A Havenly Discount Code?
Over the summer I partnered with Havenly to makeover my guest bedroom, and during that project they gave me a promo code to share with my audience. As of right now, that code is still active for design plans and you’re welcome to use it on your next project. You can save 25% off a Full Design Plan with code LELA25.
