Happy Saturday! Grab a cup of coffee and snuggle up in your favorite seat of the house as we chat about all things home, life, and randomness.
Yesterday I was chatting with a friend while I was sipping my morning coffee and spilling the beans about all the things I’ve been procrastinating on. I have had 60+ containers sitting in my trunk for over three weeks, a mirror still in a box behind a door since early December, and a giant stack of more containers shoved in the corner of our home gym just waiting to be used. Not to mention that I also have two big renovations coming up in March, so all the supplies and decor for them are hanging out in the guest room.

So after the coffee was gone and my morning chat with my internet BFF ended, I decided I was tired of procrastinating. It was time to get some things done and stop stressing about my mile-long to-do list. So here’s what I did…
I made a list of EVERYTHING I need to do. Then I went back and highlighted everything I really needed to do. I quickly realized that I get in the habit of having an idea, buying the stuff for it, and then assuming it needs to be done. But honestly, most of the things on that list aren’t a need at all. They’re 100% just a “want to do”.
So I prioritized the list of actual needs, then prioritized the list of wants. That gave me a numbered list. Then I went back and wrote how much time each task would take. When I was seeing on paper that opening and positioning a mirror would take 15 minutes of my time, it made me feel pretty silly for leaving it behind a door for two months. I was able to plug in all the tasks on my calendar for next week and that made me feel motivated and excited, versus stressed and confused. I’ll update you next Saturday on whether I was able to stick with it!

What’s On My Mind This Saturday Morning
The kitchenette is done, the bathroom is done, and the craft space is done! And now that the entire Studio is fresh, clean, and new, I still find myself eating snacks in the floor. It’s only embarrassing when I get caught.
I got a new stash from Erin Condren’s latest launch, and I just can’t stop using these highlighters. They have a pen on one side and highlighters on the other side. I feel like an 8th grade girl again decorating every page of everything.
My MIL checked out the table I got from Marketplace for the Studio and we realized the tabletop is wood veneer, not a solid chunk. So instead of a deep sanding and stripping, we are going to experiment with bleaching. Have you tried it? If so, I need tips!
Super Bowl Sunday is this weekend, and our favorite thing to do is play Commercial Bingo. If you don’t have the printables I made, here’s a set of 4 so you can play, too!
We were all sick last week, and after we were feeling better I tried out this fabric sanitizer. I don’t know if it works like it’s advertised, but it smells nice and fresh and the bottle claims that it kills icky stuff of furniture, pillows, and other things you can’t throw in the washing machine.
