Happy Saturday! Grab a cup of coffee and snuggle up in your favorite seat of the house as we chat about all things home, life, and randomness.
When do you classify the season as officially summer? Is it when the kids get out of school? Or is Memorial Day the summer kickoff for you? Or do you still call it springtime until the calendar says it’s the first day of summer? In our house, we start saying “summer” after Memorial Day, and ever since Monday it has felt like summer.
Every summer I like to sit down with my family and write out our bucket list for the season. It doesn’t have to be a super elaborate plan, it is just a guide to help us decide what to do on a day we have free. Without our family summer bucket list, we end up just sitting around the TV watching reruns of shows we’ve seen a hundred times.
Do you make a summer bucket list? And if so, what’s at the top of the list for you this year?

What’s On My Mind This Saturday Morning
While doing my big garage cleanup, I found these QR code labels for the storage totes. They’re going to be the most helpful thing ever!
My son hosted a graduation party with his friends last night, and you could find me hiding wherever possible popping into Illuminate Your Vibe‘s live sale. Let’s just say I kept getting distracted so I don’t even remember how many new crystal babies I’m adding to my collection. Oops.
Can you put wallpaper over painted wallpaper? Our guest room has old wallpaper that has been painted by the previous owners and I want to put up a feature wall mural. Can I be lazy and not take down the old paper?
Speaking of the guest room, I’m already planning my next project. Sure, I haven’t even finished the garage project yet, but I always have something on the backburner. I sent pictures to a virtual design service to get some ideas. Can you guess which one? I’ll share more soon.

Organized-ish Binder Kit News!
Organized-ish Binder Kits got a fresh new look yesterday! The website has been fully redesigned, there are two new colors added to the lineup, a brand new Garage Cleanup Planner, and you can now access your downloads from your Account! Check it out and let me know what you think of this summer glow-up.

Father’s Day Gift Guide
The Father’s Day Gift Guide is up on the blog and it’s a good one! No ties to be found on this roundup, just a bunch of cool stuff Dad will actually want this year. I’m giggling a little over here about Father’s Day, thinking about how my son and I attempted to hide Nigel’s new grill under a bunch of boxes in my Studio. Good thing he rarely goes in there because our “hidden grill” looked extra obvious!

One Last Thought
I would love to know what kind of content you want to see here on the blog over the summer. I know we all have very different lifestyles and schedules, so I’d like to hear what you’ve got planned. Are you going to be organizing and decluttering to prep for Back To School season? Are you traveling? Are you taking time off from projects? Let me know what you’ve got going on and what you want to see here on the blog this season.

Morning! I enjoyed “our” coffee this morning. LOL Just a few thoughts… a. Those Totescan labels are fabulous! I read about them on The Homes I Have Made’s blog. The coolest part is the app works like a database, so you can list as much (or as little) info as you want about each tote, its contents, & its location. We’re currently working on purging, cleaning, & organizing our garage & storage room & it has been invaluable. Hmm…so satisfying!
b. I also really enjoyed our boys at that age. We had family movie & take out Friday nights until they were old enough to get jobs. Those shared movies (& this was 30 to 35 years ago, so we’re talking a trip to the video store!) gave us an endless supply of jokes, movie quotes, & trivia in common. Probably the funniest (in hindsight, anyway! LOL) was when the boys were 8 & 10 we decided to let them watch “Thunderheart.” It’s an awesome movie & we thought the wonder & theme worth the watch, despite the raw language. Yeah…they loved it & it was all good – parental judgement win! – until I read the now 9 year old’s school journal at the end of the year. He had gone to school that next Monday & written that his parents let him watch “Thunderheart ” and they said the “F” word 47 TIMES!!! O M G!!! I was SO MORTIFIED that his teacher read this! The sweeping scope of the movie’s message & our kid’s take away was 47 “F” words!!! Boys! LOL We cringed over that for years, until he finally told us when he was grown that he wrote about it because he was so proud that HIS parents let him watch an R rated movie! Uhhh…what?!?! LOL He really should have written THAT, because we didn’t let them watch another one until they were 16! 😆
Yikes! Sorry this was so long, but hey, sometimes a funny “forehead slap” story is worth it!
Enjoy your weekend!

Good morning Dianne! Happy to share a cup of coffee with you today.
Yes! Those labels are so cool, and I agree about the searchable database. I think that will be really helpful this winter when I’ve forgotten where I put things by then.
And I love that you did movie nights with your kids. Such a special tradition. And that’s HILARIOUS that your son wrote in his school journal about the F word comments. What a funny thing to look back on, and such a great story to share at extended family dinners! Boys always end up saying the funniest things.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
