Happy Saturday! Grab a cup of coffee and snuggle up in your favorite seat of the house as we chat about all things home, life, and randomness.
Good Saturday morning! I was planning on talking about spring cleaning and refreshing your home for the warmer months…but when I woke up this morning I looked out the window and saw a thick blanket of snow across my yard. I live in Tennessee, so we don’t get snow very often. But when we do, it’s late in the year. Kind of like a kick in the face for us in the South. Last week it was 80 degrees, and now it looks like I should put my stockings back up on the fireplace.
So instead of talking about spring cleaning, which just feels weird to me, I want to talk about being open to changing your plans. On your journey to becoming more Organized-ish, you’ll try really hard to plan things out. You’ll schedule a whole day down to the hour, you’ll make lists and drink an extra cup of coffee to get get it all done, and things will come up to throw it all off.
I want to encourage you to always have a backup plan. And always leave gaps in your scheduling. Things always come up, and they always “throw you off your rhythm.” (any John Mullaney fans in the house?) The best way to ensure you don’t get behind when things don’t go as planned is to start early. Don’t procrastinate. If you have a deadline of March 13 to get something done, don’t start on March 12. When you are always ahead, you never get behind, even if you miss a day.

What’s On My Mind This Saturday Morning
Are you watching Inventing Anna on Netflix? I had read about this story online, but the show is SO good! I would love to organize the wardrobe closet!
I finally found the perfect t-shirts. These tees from J Crew are just the right weight and material, and they’re long enough not to show your back when you bend over.
I’ve been feeling a little less hydrated than normal, even with increased water, so I started adding these electrolyte packets to my H2O. I haven’t found a flavor I didn’t like yet.
The Home Edit bins are out of my trunk and in my new pantry! I’ll be sharing the reveal next week, but I just want to report that the bins are really great quality and I definitely recommend.
Even though there’s snow on the ground, I’ll still start filling out my Spring Cleaning Planner this weekend and making a game plan to start my own cleaning binge on April 2. When do you start your spring cleaning?

One Last Thought
I finished up the pantry project yesterday, and aside from cleaning up the massive explosion of mess in my kitchen, that project is officially done. Now it’s time to move on to the closet remodel. I’m still waiting for the closet system parts to arrive, so this week I’m going to purge my closet again.
I just did this back in January for the Declutter Challenge, but I am going to push myself to purge even more. Now is a better time than ever to start that capsule wardrobe. Do you have a capsule wardrobe? If so, give me all your tips and advice in the comments!
