Happy Saturday! Grab a cup of coffee and snuggle up in your favorite seat of the house as we chat about all things home, life, and randomness.
When you were a kid, did you do jobs for your parents to earn money? I was totally that kid with the entrepreneur spirit. I’d clean the house, wash cars, [attempt to] fix broken things, and organize drawers and cabinets for cash. (No surprise on that one, right?) My grandparents own a farm and I’d go stay with them for a week or two in the summer and help build fences, do farm work, and clean around their house, too. I’d come home with a pocketful of cash, and I was always so proud of myself.
Luckily, my son has this same mentality. He’s on Spring Break this week, and as I’m typing this, he’s in the floor assembling a clothing rack for us to move my wardrobe to while we demo the primary closet. He will help demo and rebuild the closet, and he’s already assembled some patio furniture and done some pre-Spring Cleaning jobs earlier this week. He’s a man with money on his mind and nothing is slowing him down. Too bad Spring Break is only one week!

What’s On My Mind This Saturday Morning
We finished the pantry project early this week, and I have found a slight problem with the customized design I created. My junk food snacks are easier than ever to get to and I’ve been snacking all week long. This might become an issue…
I ordered another Modsy design package and plan on using it for our guest bedroom this summer. My goal is to have the guest room remodeled before July when my husband and I go on a work trip.
I got this sweet trail mix from Target and I ate the whole bag in an embarrassing amount of time. If you love peanut butter and chocolate, order it curbside right now.
If you are a shoes-off household, do you allow service providers to keep their shoes uncovered or do you ask them to put on shoe covers? I let my handyman work bare-shoed last week and I was quietly raging inside. It felt so icky after five years of being strictly no-shoes.
Speaking of the handyman, it rained last week so he had to cut all the wood in the garage. There was sawdust everywhere. This wet/dry vac got a workout during cleanup, and it handled it like a boss.
