Happy Saturday! Grab a cup of coffee and snuggle up in your favorite seat of the house as we chat about all things home, life, and randomness.
This week I started (again) a workout program. I actually bought the program last year, but quickly fell off the wagon because it’s a little more advanced than what I’m used to. I had joined the Facebook group for program members and last week I noticed a post from the group admins in my notifications so I opened it up to see what was happening. Long story short, they were launching a new program for three days only at a “beta” price point. I bought it immediately, even though I never finished the other program.
I promise, this is going somewhere…and that somewhere is not even about fitness, so don’t scroll away yet. When I bought the new program, I noticed that there was a sentence in the welcome email that invited me to contact their support team for help or advice on scheduling/implementing/sticking with it. Normally I wouldn’t bother a support team with something non-support related, but they mentioned that they actually hired a team just to help the course students plan a customized workout system.
So I took advantage of the offer and emailed them about how I had trouble staying with the first program due to time constraints and my inability to complete the workouts due to lack of strength and skills. The response I got was instantly life-changing…

They told me “Don’t worry about doing things perfectly or completing every workout correctly. You can decrease the number of reps, skip a day if you’re tired, or modify to make things less strenuous. Just show up every day and do something.”
Oh. My. Gosh… I tell people this all the time when it comes to organizing and decluttering, yet I was somehow convinced that if I didn’t follow the workout plan to the tee, I shouldn’t do it at all. Talk about not taking my own advice, huh?
So this week, I want you to remember that. You may not get the entire pantry reorganized. You may not get all your winter clothes packed up. You may not get every room swept and mopped. And you may not do all ten reps for all four sets of your workout. But show up and do something. I hope that helps you as much as it helps me. 🙂

What’s On My Mind This Saturday Morning
I finished redoing the table I bought from Marketplace this week and it turned out exactly how I dreamt it would. This is the table I was inspired by, but it was almost $3k. After the table cost and supplies, I spent $200. WIN!
While I was working on the table, my friend Becky @boxwoodathome provided me with the most helpful advice and product suggestions. If you are a DIYer, you’ll love the tutorials and projects she shares on Instagram.
Have you ever used a metronome? They’re typically for musicians to keep their time, but my workout program group recommended it for timing handstands. I downloaded an app and now I’m thinking it will be great for cleaning projects, paint applications, and even mixing when baking. I’ll likely buy a physical one soon.
It’s time for me to clean my crystal collection, which is a relaxing hour of wiping down each individual stone and admiring their beauty. My fave crystal shop is Illuminate Your Vibe in case you’re looking for one. She sells smaller crystals on her website all the time, and larger ones in Instagram Live Sales monthly. She has the best selections!
Update on the mirror placement debacle in the bedroom. I figured out exactly where I want it to go. That placement involves moving around almost everything. (Nervous laughter…) I think I’ll save that for Spring Cleaning time in April since I’ll clear out the room then anyway.

One Last Thought
There are some big AND small projects coming soon and I want to give you a little preview of what’s to come.
- We are going to be building a brand new custom pantry to divide and contain allergen-containing foods so we will never have to worry about cross contamination. I’m bringing in my handyman to help make sure it’s built right.
- We are removing the wire shelving from our closet and adding a semi-custom closet system from Modular Closets. We placed the order yesterday so it should arrive in a few weeks on a big pallet with a bunch of small pieces…
- The front porch is getting a glow-up for spring. No more awkwardly off-center door and naked stainless decking. And I found some super sneaky storage solutions for the small porch that I can’t wait to show you!
- And the unexpected bedroom refresh, stemmed from the mirror that has no home. Looks like I’ll be refreshing the whole room now in order to make the mirror work. If you give a mouse a cookie, right?
