Ten Gorgeous Bedside Tables

June 6, 2016 · In: Styling Tips

Photo Contest Final

Last week was so much fun.

Eight Instagram friends and I hosted a photo contest called #showoffyourstand.

Participants posted photos of their nightstands and after literally hours, we finally chose a couple of winners.

Those winners took home a $50 Target gift card and bragging rights to say they had the best bedside tables on Instagram.

We had so many entries and every single one of them was A-MAZING!

I fell in love with all of them and got lots of inspiration.

I just had to share some highlights from the contest today and I really think you’re going to love them.

greensprucedesigns

Here is one of our two winners, Jen @greensprucedesigns, and she blew us away with her desk-turned-nightstand. It’s absolutely gorgeous!

styleitpretty

This super cozy room by Zenia @styleitpretty_home had us swooning over the combination of textures.

designsbykaran

Remember my Interior Designer friend Karan from the Home Staging Interview I did? She’s on Instagram @designsbykaran and this was her entry. I love how bright and airy her bedroom is.

cantrellinteriors

The simplicity of this table and it’s decor really got me inspired. It reminded me that you don’t need to load up a table to make it pretty. Savannah @cantrellinteriors really knows what she’s doing when it comes to styling.

birdiefarm

Our other winner, Lucy @birdie_farm, showed off her stunning dresser that doubles as a nightstand. The beautiful paint job paired with the amazing feature wall made this a clear choice.

olsenhome

I love the mix of rustic and modern in this photo by @olsenhome. The muted bedding looks so good with the dark hues in the nightstand, lamp, plant, and artwork.

fortheloveofgray

And speaking of modern, I am crazy about this look by Nicole @fortheloveofgray. She really knows how to make gray look anything but boring and puts neutrals together like a freakin’ pro. I think I love gray even more than ever now.

life2thebrim

My sweet friend Kaitlin @life2thebrim, whose whole house is beyond beatutiful, played along, too. She decorates with great finds from the Brimfield Flea Market that she visits each year. Not only that, but she is the creator of the official Brimfield Flea Market App. She’s one super talented lady.

jnathome

I also love this bookshelf Julie @jnathome has beside her bed. It’s so unexpected but totally works. The large spaces between the shelves make it extra versatile. Why didn’t I think of that???

dessertdecor

And this super sweet bedside table belongs to one of my Insta-favs Liz @desertdecor. From the sign to the lamp to the decor to even the legs on the nightstand, everything about this is beautiful. I’d totally love to wake up to that view every morning.

My cohosts and I loved doing this contest so much that we decided to do it again next month, too! Be sure to follow along with us to see the new theme and to enter your own photo in July.

He met this four year old little dude who was sick on the couch clutching his Lightening McQueen car. Soon after, Noah told me in the car “Mommy let’s stay friends with him, ok?”
So we did. And here we are ten years later. Nothing makes my heart more full than seeing these two together.
…Except when they gang up on me for asking [dumb] questions about superheroes… 😅
Happy Father’s Day Nigel!
Let’s talk about organizing overwhelm. Yep, we a Let’s talk about organizing overwhelm. Yep, we are going there…
As exciting and freeing and calming it is to get a space cleaned up and organized, it’s also stressful and overwhelming and exhausting. Especially when you’re doing big projects.
After three weeks straight of working on my garage, I was reaching the point of burnout. I got behind on other things, I constantly felt like I wasn’t doing enough, and my to-do list kept getting longer.
If you’re feeling this way today, I want you to give yourself permission to do these two things:
1. Take a break. It is ok to pause a project and take some chill time. Log off of social media, stop looking at your list, and just recharge.
2. Remove things from your list. You might have planned a huge project, but after a while you start losing enthusiasm. At that point, let some plans go. Save them for later in the year, or maybe even never. Projects should be flexible, not set in stone.
What’s something on your to-do list you can let go of today to save you time and stress?
