Vintage Modern Mix Living Room Reveal

Y’all. It happened.

The living room makeover is complete!

Goodbye farmhouse style, hello modern minimalist!

We made some updates to better suit our style as a couple, because although I loved our cottage decor, it wasn’t really my hubby’s first preference.

He’s such a sweet guy, and he totally didn’t care at all how it was decorated, but I really wanted him to live in a space he loved, so we decluttered, brightened up, and loaded in the texture.

I must say, this is my favorite design I’ve ever done.

And I’m SO happy to share it with you!

Ahhhhhhhh Cozy!!!

We got this great sleeper sofa from Ashley Furniture Homestore and I’m so in love with it.

I’ve always wanted a gray couch.

A sleek curvy modern couch.

Dream. Come. True.

Hey friends, overnight party at my place!

We also got these two blue chairs from Ashley.

Anyone who’s been here (or on my social media) knows I’m mildly obsessed with denim.

And while these chairs aren’t actually denim, they look like it.

And they’re super soft. And super cozy.

Sitting in them is like getting a big fat denim hug.

And that is about as close to heaven on earth as I can get.

(PS: I’m sharing the direct link to these chairs at the bottom of this post!)

Can we all just take a second to drool over this table?

It was a major score at HomeGoods and we knew we couldn’t leave the store without it.

It’s low enough that we can even prop our feet on it when lounging on the couch, so it works as double duty.

Not to mention it totally looks like an art piece.

Speaking of artwork, meet my new friend Niven Busch.

He’s tired.

Like, really tired.

That’s how I feel sometimes when I plop on my couch after a long day at work.

That’s why we’re friends.

That’s why he’s on my wall.

I’m also crushing on this fluffy faux cowhide rug I snagged on Overstock during a huge clearance sale.

The ones I had seen at other stores were stiff and scratchy, but this one is so soft.

Noah has already said he’s going to sleep on it one night.

I’m sure that won’t last long…

The kitties like it though.

At first they were afraid.

Like, wouldn’t even step on it, kind of afraid.

Maybe the shape freaked them out.

Whatever their deal was, they’re over it now and roll all over it like it belongs to them.

We really wanted to add a pop of color to the very black, white, and gray space, so we chose these fuchsia pillows.

Best decision ever.

The velvet fuchsia pillows on top of the sheepskin rugs on top of the suede denim chairs…

Hello Texture Overload!

While the fuchsia pillows are awesome, my favorites are these gorgeous medallion ones.

They’re from Shelby Dillon Studio.

I found them on Instagram and knew I just had to have them.

They are the softest, squishiest, best quality pillows I’ve ever owned.

Pretty sure another set is in my near future. USA, LLC
